Guidelines for online uses are important because you could posts things you would regret later. Many people do not understand what can happen when you posts things you will regret. Here are some guidelines for internet safety:
Never use your full name when posting- Many people could track you down all of your personal information just by your name.
Do not write offensively about someone- Saying mean things about someone is bullying and doesn't help anyone.
Do not link you personal blog with a blog you have with your school- Somethings you post on your blog are not appropriate for school.
Always check your spelling and grammar- Spelling and Grammar errors make the blog look unprofessional to readers.
Never write about someone on your blog with out their permission- Some people don't want to be written about and would rather not be mentioned, also some people might be offended by what is typed about them.
Watch what you say- Saying bad language or bad things about a company or person is not good because employers look at those things when hiring employees.
Make sure you write facts- Don't write things that are not true because many people will believe it and spread it around and look very unreliable.
Never disrespect someone- You would not want someone to say something bad about you so don't something bad about them.
Never post provocative photos- Posting them can give you a bad reputation and you might regret them later.
Don't try to compete with someone else's blog- Blogging is about sharing things not competition.
